Full nuclear cones associated to a normal cone. Application to Pareto efficiency

We introduce in this paper the notion of " full nuclear cone " , and we show that a nontrivial full nuclear cone can be associated to any normal cone in a locally convex space. We apply this notion to the study of Pareto efficiency.

Normal cones to infinite intersections

For sets given as finite intersections A = ⋂K k=1Ak the basic normal cone N(x̄;A) is given as ∑ kN(x̄;Ak), but such a result is not, in general, available for infinite intersections. A comparable characterization of N(x̄;A) is obtained here for a class of such infinite intersections.

Intrinsic Cone Adaptation Modulates Feedback Efficiency from Horizontal Cells to Cones

Processing of visual stimuli by the retina changes strongly during light/dark adaptation. These changes are due to both local photoreceptor-based processes and to changes in the retinal network. The feedback pathway from horizontal cells to cones is known to be one of the pathways that is modulated strongly during adaptation. Although this phenomenon is well described, the mechanism for this ch...

A cone theoretic Krein-Milman theorem in semitopological cones

In this paper, a Krein-Milman  type theorem in $T_0$ semitopological cone is proved,  in general. In fact, it is shown that in any locally convex $T_0$ semitopological cone, every convex compact saturated subset is the compact saturated convex hull of its extreme points, which improves the results of Larrecq.

An Evolutionary Efficiency Alternative to the Notion of Pareto Efficiency

The paper argues that the notion of Pareto efficiency builds on two normative assumptions: the more general consequentialist norm of any efficiency criterion, and the strong no-harm principle of the prohibition of any redistribution during the economic process that hurts at least one person. These normative concerns lead to a constrained and static notion of efficiency in mainstream economics, ...
